Hadley James at Home is a mother-daughter-run home shop founded by Bridget Collins with her daughters, Lacey and Ashlyn, in Newport Beach, California.

We created Hadley James after years of decorating and renovating our own homes and searching for pieces that felt more distinctive than trendy. We wanted beautiful lighting, furniture and décor with warmth, character and a sense of history. The kind of things you notice across a room, live with for years and love even more over time.

Our style brings together the ease of coastal California and the character of an English country home: a little blue and white, a little rattan, beautiful old-world lighting and pieces that make a home feel collected rather than decorated.

What We Look For

Everything at Hadley James is personally selected. We choose pieces we genuinely use—or would happily use—in our own homes: timeless designs, enduring materials and thoughtful details that make an everyday room feel special.

Our collection ranges from hand-finished lighting and British-made fixtures to furniture, artwork, tabletop and decorative accents. We don’t believe in offering endless options. We believe in finding the right ones.

The Woman Behind the Name

Hadley James is named for Bridget’s grandmother and Lacey and Ashlyn’s great-grandmother.

She came to America from County Cork, Ireland, in the early 1900s. She and her husband, Patrick, settled in Boston, where they opened a small general store. When the Great Depression forced them to start over, they moved to California and rebuilt their life together.

Hadley cared deeply about her home and the people who gathered there. That same love of family, tradition and creating a welcoming place has stayed with us through the generations.

Naming the company after her felt like the most natural place to begin.
