At Hadley James, we want your shopping experience to feel effortless and thoughtful from start to finish. Below you’ll find an overview of how deliveries are handled and how returns work. For product-specific details, always refer to the Details section on each product page
Delivery
We are pleased to offer free shipping on all orders. Depending on the size and nature of your order, delivery may be handled in different ways:

Standard Parcel Shipping: Smaller products are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS and delivered right to your doorstep.

Threshold Delivery: Larger pieces are delivered to the first dry location outside your home, such as a front porch, garage, or lobby.

White Glove Service: For oversized or delicate products, White Glove delivery may be recommended. This service includes inside placement, unpacking, light assembly, and removal of packaging materials.

Complimentary on orders over $2,500.

For orders under $2,500, a fee of up to $250 may apply. If White Glove delivery is recommended for your order, a member of the Hadley James team will contact you directly so you can decide whether to move forward with this option.

Please note: A signature may be required for larger deliveries.
Returns
We want you to be completely delighted with your purchase. Most products are returnable within 14 days of delivery, while select items may allow up to 30 days. The return window for each product will always be clearly noted under the Details section on its product page.
How to Start a Return

Email us at shoppe@hadleyjamesathome.com within your return window with your order number to request a Return Authorization (RA).

Once issued, RAs are valid for 20 days, and items must be received back within that timeframe.
Packaging & Shipping

Items must be returned in their original packaging, with all boxes and protective materials included.

Please retain packaging until you’re certain you’ll be keeping your order.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Restocking Fee

All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This allows us to continue offering free shipping and careful packaging on every order.
Final Sale Items
Some categories are final sale and not eligible for return, including:

Custom or made-to-order products

Installed lighting
-
Certain oversized or special-order furniture
- Holiday and seasonal items
Any exceptions will always be clearly noted under the Details section of the product page.
Damages & Claims
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect:

Contact us within 48 hours at shoppe@hadleyjamesathome.com with photos of the item, packaging, and boxes.

Keep all packaging until your claim is resolved.

Damages or incorrect items must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
For freight deliveries, please note any visible damage on the Bill of Lading before signing.
Cancellations & Backorders

In-stock products cannot be canceled once processed.
-
Backorders may be canceled within 48 hours at no charge. After 48 hours, a 10% cancellation fee applies.

Items already in production or preparing for shipment cannot be canceled.
